Marty’s grand-daughter, Jessica, fostered the cats and kittens mentioned in this book while she was working for a no kill shelter in New Jersey. She has since graduated from veterinary school from The University of Sydney, AU and is working in Perth, Australia. She also took the early pictures that are included in the book.

Compassion, caring, responsibility and love.
Everyone needs love, especially the stray cats and dogs that have no home. They can’t take care of themselves so it’s important that we all look out for and care for these abandoned and neglected fur balls. To be able to provide a foster home on a temporary basis or even a “forever home” for a stray is the ultimate in human kindness. Through the unusual relationship of Annie and MAX this true story shows that no matter one’s differences there is always something to be found in common.
